The 2015 Runner├óÔé¼Ôäós Ball is a community event for all running enthusiasts

Enjoy a night of socialising and inspiring stories from special guests!

The Hunter is the Region of Runners and the Hunter Runners Ball is a great opportunity for the local running community to come together to celebrate, recognise and acknowledge the fantastic efforts of individuals and groups that contribute to our successes.

Is also an opportunity to raise funds for a great cause.

As runners we all appreciate that running is accessible to any age, ability and location and it has the tremendous power to instill a sense of personal accomplishment.

The Indigenous Marathon Project (IMP) uses the marathon as a vehicle to promote healthy lifestyles to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

IMP annually selects a group of young Indigenous men and women to complete the New York City Marathon with just six months of training. Graduates from the program then return to their communities and become role models and leaders in the promotion of health and physical exercise.

We know that running has the power to improve and change lives and IMP is a practical way that the Hunter running community can help close the gap between Indigenous and non Indigenous communities.
